Rings ‘N Things opened for business in 1979 by brothers, Fritz and Eric Young. The jewelry business came naturally to the siblings, who grew up in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, gaining a vast knowledge of gemstones and mining passed down through the generations. Their dad, Warren Young, was a Western North Carolina mine inspector, and as a family they often enjoyed trips to the local mines, or outings involving ruby and emerald mining.
Eric’s daughters, Emily and Sara, have since joined the team at Rings 'N Things and are continually keeping current with the latest jewelry fashion designs and trends. Emily, a trained silversmith and jewelry designer, has worked alongside her dad and uncle for over ten years. Sara became an employee in 2011 and works in jewelry design, beadwork, and marketing.
Rings ‘N Things moved to their current location in 2003. The atmosphere of the cabin-style shop is warm and friendly, complete with rocking chairs on the wide porch for warmer months. Within their spacious shop you will find a wonderful variety of styles and something special for every budget and perfect for every occasion. They carry a huge selection of gemstones, custom pieces, fashion jewelry, estate jewelry, and many classic pieces in both gold and silver. Services that are offered include custom designed orders, CAD design services, jewelry repair, ring sizing, stone cutting, beadwork, and watch battery replacement, etc. Come visit us today!
